What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived; it is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Your life today is mostly the result of your aspirations, hopes, and work in the past. What it will become in the future will be the result of your dreams today.

Exercise 1
Sit down and describe the best day of your life.
Imagine how you will start it, where you will wake up, what you will do during the first hours of the day, and who you will meet.
Try to invent several scenarios of such days. Pick one and try to think, what do you need to do to achieve it? Write down your steps.
This is a great exercise to do once in a while to better understand yourself and your interests and goals.

Exercise 2
This exercise will help you understand what problem you want to solve with your project.
Now imagine what your friend group would look like without you.
What value do you bring to your friendship group? Write the answers to these questions.
And now the same for your school and community. What value do you bring to your school and community? Write the answers to these questions.

For example:

You make everyone laugh, both in your family and in your group of friends, and at school. Or maybe you're always teaching everyone something new.
What have you been taking care of for a long time?

Now compare your answers and look for any similarities you can use to group them.
Now think a little about why you are doing this. If you always make everyone laugh, maybe you do it because you see that life is complicated, and you want to make it a little easier by making people happy. Think about the problem that worries you, which you always try to solve, even unconsciously. Write the answers to these questions.

With the help of this method, you can easily describe any relationship between two or more concepts.

It is called a Venn diagram. Each frame represents one particular set of data. The differences are written in the circles and the similarities in the middle.

Let's see what problems concern you in your community.

This is Eric Andrews from Detroit.
His neighborhood has become an example of urban decline since a long time ago. There were only 2 grocery stores in the neighborhood where he lived. And neither was very good. No one wanted to buy food from those stores.

One day, a grocery store called Whole foods opened in the neighborhood.

It seemed everyone should have been happy about it, but the prices did not allow most residents to buy vegetables and fruits from there.

Back to Eric.

That problem, which he noticed in his community, inspired him and his friends to buy two empty blocks on 14th Street in 2015. Here, they founded the non-profit organization Peace Tree Parks, which turned the area into a community garden.

Now a few kilos of crops are harvested every month in this area, with which 250 neighbors are fed. And it's all free.

For your future project, we recommend starting with experiments. They are also called a pilot or pilot projects.
Let's say you want to solve the world hunger crisis.

This is an ambitious and very cool goal, and we support you.

It's quite complicated, so to make it easier, you can divide the problem into many parts and start small. How do you make sure your neighborhood never has a hunger crisis? Let's create a small pilot project.

Or are you concerned about the Sevan pollution problem, it's an ambitious challenge as well, but too big for this month.

So we start small. Let's think about how to make a village always have a clean beach.

Why is it great to start small?

When you start small, you can experiment and see if this problem is something you want to work on with great interest for years. It's okay to fail; it's okay to guess wrong; it's okay to change direction. So you start experimenting young and find your passion, what's really interesting to you.

Exercise 5
Now compare the results of Task 3 with the list of small pilot projects in Task 4. Please take a look at it and find out which skills and interests match your potential pilot projects. And find the project where you can best show yourself and use your strengths.
